The majority leader of the Kano State of Assembly, Hon. Husseini Dala said there is no dispute between the Kano State governor, Alhaji Abba Yusuf, and the leader of the Kwankwassiya movement, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Hon. Dala made this known on Monday while responding to questions by Journalists in the rumoured row between the Governor and the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) at the Assembly Complex in Kano.
According to lawmaker, what the duo share together is a father-son relationship, noting that the alleged rift was fabricated and spread by enemies of progress outside Kano State.
He also ruled out the presence of any discord between the state Assembly and Governor Yusuf or with the leader of the Kwankwassiyya movement, Senator Kwankwaso.
He maintained that the relationship among them remained cordial against what was being peddled by mischief makers who are eager to destroy their cordial relationship.
“Some people are all out and sponsored far away from Abuja to come and create rancour in Kano to distort the cordial relationship that exists between the legislative arm of government and the governor, leader of the Kwankwassiya movement and Engr. Abba Yusuf. The relationship between Engr Abba and Engr. Kwankwaso is a father-son relationship.
“By the Grace of God, they will feel ashame of what they were doing and will fail,” he stated.
On position of the Assembly on calls for the governor to be independent, the majority leader emphasised that, the governor is independent and governing the state as he had already taken the oath, noting that those making the calls have intention of creating crisis in the state.
He said those behind such calls will fail and will never come back to power, emphasising that the governor and Assembly members are completely loyal to Senator Kwankwaso.
