Three more victims’ bodies have been found from the Anam River boat accident that killed well-known Nollywood actor Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, also referred to as Junior Pope.
The bodies were retrieved by marine police officers from the Anambra State Police Command, according to SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the command’s police public relations officer, who made the announcement.
According to Ikenga, two dead were found earlier on Thursday night, and one was found in the wee hours of Friday.
In a statement sent to reporters on Friday, the police spokesperson did not, however, reveal the identities of the three victims that had been found; instead, he only stated that the three remains were those of Junior Pope and those who perished when their boat overturned on

During the announcement, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Anambra State Police Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, stated that the bodies were found by the Command’s marine police officers.
Ikenga reported that two bodies had been retrieved earlier on Thursday night, and one had been found in the early hours of Friday.
However, in a statement he gave to reporters on Friday, the police spokesman did not reveal the identities of the three remains that had been retrieved. He only stated that the three bodies were those of individuals who drowned alongside Junior Pope when their boat sank on.
